B2B AND B2C ECOMMERCE
B2B (Business to Business Electronic-Commerce): Refers to one business selling to another business via the Web. According to the Gartner Group, B2B e-commerce is expected to grow from $145 billion in 1999 to more than $7 trillion by 2004, which will represent more than 7% of all sales transactions worldwide.
B2C (Business to Consumer): Refers to a business communicating with or selling to an individual rather than a company. B2C e-commerce jumped from $11.2 billion in 1998 to $31.2 billion in 1999, according to Dataquest/GartnerGroup of San Jose, Calif.
